SUD Outpatient Group Services
A structured, evidence-informed setting where individuals in recovery come together to build skills, share experiences, and support one another under the guidance of credentialed behavioral health staff.
Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Outpatient Group Services at The Garage provide a structured, evidence-informed setting where individuals in recovery come together to build skills, share experiences, and support one another under the guidance of credentialed behavioral health staff. These sessions are grounded in the understanding that addiction is a complex, chronic condition one that responds powerfully to community, accountability, and consistent engagement.
Group counseling at The Garage is not a passive experience. Every session is purposefully facilitated to give each participant a voice, a role, and a sense of belonging. Whether you are in the early stages of recovery or working to maintain long-term sobriety, our groups provide a judgment-free environment where real conversations lead to real growth. Topics covered include relapse prevention, coping strategies, emotional regulation, life skills, and the building of healthy relationships.
Our credentialed staff bring both clinical expertise and a deep respect for the lived experience of every participant. Group sessions are structured around evidence-based curricula while remaining flexible enough to meet participants where they are acknowledging that no two recovery journeys look exactly alike. Confidentiality is strictly maintained, and all services are delivered in full compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
Who this service is for
SUD Outpatient Group Services are appropriate for adults who are actively working toward sobriety or who are in early-to-middle stages of recovery and benefit from regular, structured group engagement. This service is ideal for individuals who do not require residential or intensive inpatient treatment, and who are ready to engage with a community of peers committed to change.
Why group counseling works
Reduces isolation: Recovery can feel lonely group settings restore the sense of belonging that is essential to sustained wellness.
Builds accountability: Regular attendance and shared goals create natural, positive peer accountability.
Develops real-world skills: Sessions focus on practical tools participants can use immediately outside the group setting.
Normalizes the recovery experience: Hearing others' stories reduces shame and reinforces that recovery is achievable.
Provides structured consistency: Regular group sessions build the routine and stability that recovery depends on.
