How we work

Our programs

Three peer led pathways that run through everything we do at The Garage. They are designed to work together, so you can start in one place and add what you need as you go.

Peer Recovery Support

Walking alongside you, not ahead of you

One to one and small group support from peer supporters who have lived through substance use disorder themselves. We meet you where you are, at whatever stage you are in.

What it includes

  • Regular one to one peer support sessions
  • Small group meetings built on shared experience
  • Help thinking through goals, setbacks and next steps
  • Warm handoffs to clinical care when that is what you need

Who it is for: Anyone 18 or over who is thinking about, starting or maintaining recovery.

Life Skills and Wellness Track

Rebuilding the everyday, one piece at a time

Recovery rarely stands alone. This track works through the practical parts of life that often need rebuilding, from paperwork and appointments to routine, budgeting and healthy habits.

What it includes

  • Workshops on budgeting, documents and daily routine
  • Support with housing, benefits and community resources
  • Employment readiness conversations and practice interviews
  • Wellness sessions covering sleep, movement and nutrition basics

Who it is for: Members who want structure and practical footing alongside peer support.

Volunteer and Mentor Pathway

Turning your story into hope for someone else

For members with time in recovery who want to give back. We help you step into a supportive role in the community, with guidance and check ins along the way.

What it includes

  • Orientation to peer values, boundaries and confidentiality
  • Shadowing experienced peer supporters before you lead
  • Ongoing supervision and reflective check ins
  • Opportunities to help at events and open houses

Who it is for: Members and community volunteers ready to support others.

Not sure which one fits?

You do not have to work that out on your own. Reach out and a peer supporter will talk it through with you, with no pressure and no cost for the conversation.

Fund a pathway for someone else

These programs are free to the people who need them because our community pays it forward. Your gift keeps every pathway open.
